Possibly moving into a new detail shop...

Things are in the works right now. Good possibility that I might be moving into a building that a friend owns and operates a small used car lot out of. This will give me way more opportunity to keep going with this as it is heated, has a drain, decent lighting and essentially two bays. I'm...

We head over to the big pond for the day yesterday to watch the big boy's run. Some of these guys are running 170 but capable of 200+. Especially the Geico turbine boat. I even made time for a little washing!

    2003 Honda 1800

Well, this was my first ever bike detail. Wow..... not hard just tedious and tight. I think it turned out pretty nice though and he was thrilled, even offered me a possible building with prime location to rent. We shall see how that works out in the days ahead.... :smt033 Don't mind my...

    2007 Eliminator Daytona

This is a friends Eliminator that I worked on last week. *The gel coat on these boats is very hard. *Takes some aggressive stuff to get swirls out. *It turned out pretty good, although I could have spent 2 more days on it! Once I get a wool pad and rotary I might go back for some more!

    2004 BMW Z4 Roadster

This is a roadster that I worked on Friday. It belongs to my wife's uncle. *Turned out pretty nice but man is that paint hard! I took my orange pad with SSR2 and went crazy.....hardly made a dent in it. lol

    Concrete dust?

I have a guy coming in Thursday with an '09 Impala. He said that he got into something on the highway and it dried on the side almost like concrete splatter or dust. Anyone have any experience with something like that?

1st annual Corn Island Hot Boat Expo 7-16-2011

We had a great turnout this weekend with races, wildest rooster tails, fastest pontoons, grudge races and all kinds of shiny gel and paint. And of course I was representing Poorboy's with the brightest and shiniest!! ;-) The gray paint literally glowed in the mucky colored water...

    1970 Mustang original paint

Hey guys, I have a super nice 20k mile black Mustang coming in next week. The paint is single stage and all original. I'm thinking something along the lines of just a black pad and some PP to remove the minor swirls. Then the BH with with some Natty's etc. Any suggestions on other products...

Hillsdale, Mi Car Show June 24th

The wife and I decided to head over to Hillsdale for their annual 2 day show. We only went one of the days. It's a smaller mom and pop's type of show but still lots of nice cars. I was sporting my Poorboy's on the Mustang, too! :smt066 Here are just a few pics.

    Natty's Nice!

So, it's after midnight here and I'm getting the car ready for a show tomorrow. Thought I would just smack the hood, roof and trunk lid with a little BH quick to just give it a fresh look and then top with some wax. I just got some regular Natty's from Steve as I've been using the Red. Wow oh...

What pads is everyone using and why?

Just thought I would start a discussion on what pads you guys like, size, brands, etc... I've been using 5.5 CCS for a while now but would like to venture off into the 6.5 world or maybe another pad. Mine have the glued on backing which just starts to peel off overtime, especially on the blk pads.
