Which Products to Use

I'm new to the forum. I'm not an auto enthusiast. I do understand the value of protecting my new car from the environment. I don't want to go to the local Walmart any longer to pick up a product off the shelf. Poor Boys Products has a great internet reputation. I know the correct way is to wash the car and then use a separate polish, sealant, wait a day, and then wax. My lifestyle does not afford me that kind of time. Now to my questions. After washing my car, does waxing my new car add any further protection? If not, will using the all in one polish with sealant provide adequate protection? If yes, will using the polish with sealant followed by the sealant with wax product work well together and provide adequate protection? Thanks for your time.

1-Yes.

3-Yes

If you are looking for the least time consuming way to keep your car looking good, try using one of the AIO's-PwC, PwC Blue or PwS- and follow your washes with QW+. You may end up needing to polish your car only twice a year and the QW+ takes only a few minutes extra after the wash.

Looks like you are the only reply Big Leegr. Thanks! One follow-up question please. If I use PwS followed by EX Sealant, how much longer and how much more protection will that add than using PwS followed by QW Plus as you suggested? Thanks again!

No idea. I haven't tried adding EX to PwS and checked results against a panel the didn't have the topper. (The only way to be sure of the same variables etc.) Theoretically, I suppose you might get another month or so, but again, I haven't tried it.

Maybe Steve will wake up.... I mean pull himself away from work long enough to answer this for you. :p

ok I'm awake..i mean here  First ...Welcome to our forum :smt006

When I meet people at car show that are just looking for an easy way to protect their vehicle, I usually recommend either the Polish w/ carnauba or Polish w/ Sealant ... the biggest difference would be the look you desire as carnaubas look best on dark or solid colors and sealants look best on light or metallic colors.
I would also recommend using them 2-3 times per year minimum or as often as you feel you need it or have the time to apply them. There are too many variables like Bigleegr said to give exact durability times, but adding a topper like EX or Natty's will definitely give you longer durability.
I prefer to use Spray & Gloss after each wash, before drying ..it helps remove excess soap and any light dirt, while adding lubrication during the drying process, which in turn reduces light marring. Also using a quality car shampoo will make you protection last longer as it will clean more gently and rinse better.
Yes, using QW+ after washing will also help maintain the fresh waxed look, but I'd probably do it every other wash.

Hope this helps.. back to winter hibernation
