RIP Boomer

I knew your time was close, I knew that it wouldn't be easy, I thought I was prepared, guess what Boomer?I wasn't ready.

Yesterday morning, our 17 year old cat wasn't to be seen. Not totally usual but by 10 AM I knew something was up. I found him under a shrub in the front yard. ( a place he liked to hang out) Not sure when he passed on sometime from Saturday evening to Sunday AM.

I buried him on the side of the house in a pink towel, with a can of food and his bowl, a aluminum foil ball and ball point pen ( two items he loved to play with as a kitten)

I was good all day until last night and the weight of it all came in on me.

Sorry to hear about your cat Dave. Our dog is 15 and I know it won't be much longer for him. I dread the day.

aw...I had to put my kitty Murray down 2 years ago. She was also 17 :(. She became a diabetic and I had to give her insulin twice a day. After a couple months we gave a new kitty a home and it does get easier! Keep your head up!
