Hello newbie here. I will be getting a PC next week. The cars finish is in very good condition. The car is cleaned and has been waxed with carnauba.
My plans are :

1. Use SSR1 with CCS white polishing pad.
2. Apply Natty's Blue paste by machine with CCS Gray Finishing pad.
3. Remove with micro fiber towel.

Would this be a good plan for my first use of the PC buffer and PoorBoys products.
Paint color on the car is Deep Blue Metallic. It is a 07 Solstice garage kept and covered with 6000 miles on it.

Thanks in advance for you reply.

Do you have Pro Polish by any chance?? or do you need some slight correction to the finish that the SSR1 will take care of?

Hello Pockets,
I don't have Pro Polish. I really don't need any correction to the finish. Was looking for a deeper wetter look? I wanted a product that would work well with the PC polisher.

i would suggest liquid nattys blue.. its just a great liquid wax for applying with a machine or if you want paste got for nattys red it will give you the nice slick wet look you are going for..

I have a question about natty. How long should I wait between layers?

I do 2 thin coats ( as a single application ), one right after the other and then wait 24 hours to the next application of 2 thin layers.

I don't know if it is 12 to 24 hours or if it is only 12 hours is the "official" answer.

People say 12 to 24 hours but i would like a more precise answer for this particulary wax. I was thinking of doing 3 layers but if i wait one day it will take me three days to finish the wax stage. =p but probably it's the best. Don't want to compromise the layer that is curing.

wax is set up usually after a few hours depending on heat and humidity..... sealants take much longer

As Steve posted above, it depends on heat and humidity that you are working with.

I have found that a quick Spray & Wipe of the panels after sitting for 24 hours and applying the next application works well.

I don't know how to gauge the "few hours" for the cure time, so I go overboard to know that it is done setting up @ 24 hours.

This has got me a little confused:wink: When you refer to curing times do you mean the amount of time the wax is on your paintwork before removing it, or the length of time you wait before the next coat ? I usually apply a thin coat of nattys red to the whole car, then remove. Then apply another coat about the following morning. Please tell me im doing this correctly :smt044

cure time is the time after removal before the next coat of product or when it should be exposed to the environment ... flash time is the amount of time after application before removal ..

you are doing fine ;)
