Curing in a dusty environment

Hello everyone,

I'm planning to apply EX-P to my car, however my garage is located near a rather dusty road. Paint surface can collect dust in a matter of hours. Will this affect the curing? I have car cover, but putting it on means touching the surface. Can anyone recommend a solution?

Thanks in advance..

welcome to our forum:smt006 where are you located? warm area or cold and stuck in a garage?

if you are in a warm climate, i would suggest going somewhere else to apply the EX-P and just hang out there for a hour or so after applying ... if there is no choice, do sections at a time and use an old soft bed sheet as your cover

Thanks for the reply. I'm in warm area. Is an hour enough? I thought we need at least 12 hours for curing.

no, it needs about an hour on the car to set and flash ... then for the next 12-72 hours try not to wash it or get it wet as it cures, it can get dusty if need be at this point with no harm ..

Okay great, thanks for the info. Is it also safe if I put on the car cover as it cures?
