about to buy a Kestrel DAS-6 and Im using this:

Poorboys White diamond

followed by......

Poorboys EX-P

using a meguiars W9006 soft foam pad x2 - one for each.

do I need to do anything both or after?

Depends on the condition of the paint. If it's in great shape, that may work. If you have oxidation/scratches, you will need something in the way of a polish/swirl remover first.
