I'm curious of what the actual answers are as well Shawn. My guess- mechanical only, diminishing compound.
I use it correcting no repaint accident panels, and wet sanded panels. I use it rotary only, never tried with an orbital. Only because it leaves behind a finish that still needs a swirl reduction stage or two, depending the car. Most all those I'll go orbital from there on.
Those are just my opinions and uses, and do not reflect the product and how it should be used.
One thing I can say, it rocks for automotive clear, and gel coat alike.
