Father-in-Law’s Honda CRV

I detailed my Father-in-Law’s Honda CRV. He scraped something and had some red marks on the front side. There were numerous other small scratches and small scrapes. Some I was successful and removing and some where too deep.

Process:
Wheels first:
Amazing Roll Off on the the rims, tires and wells
Scrubbing and some car soap added in the water
The wheels were deceptively dirty!

In fact, the whole car was dirtier than it looked. A good thing about silver paint! I took an extra long time to make sure all was clean:
2 bucket wash with PB Super Slick and Suds (sadly it was the last of the bottle
White and yellow schmitt and a black schmitt
Dried with leaf blower

Polish:
I started with PB Polish w Sealant on a green LCC pad. But that was not strong enough so I went with an orange pad and PB SSR 3. That did the trick! I was able to get the red marks out completely and remove numerous scratches from the car.

I did a second pass with the green pad and PB PwS.

Protect:
PB EX-P - applied to the entire car then went back to buff off

Interior:
I wasn’t planning on doing the interior as the exterior was going to be so much work but i was able to get my son to help with the exterior so there was time to get the inside cleaned up.

PB Natural Look on the interior plastics/vinyl - dash, etc.
Leather seats:
Lexol cleaner followed by 4 Star Leather conditioner

Wheel Finish:
PB Bold n Bright on the tires
** Bare Bones on the wells

Interesting. When I click on go Advanced I don't see the tool bar any more, but I can see it in this view (Quick Reply)

So here is what prompted him to ask for my help:

We met them for dinner last night and as he drove off I noticed that the car looked really good. I think the EX-P looked better after a day!
