Below are before and after shots of a bird sh*t etching on my wifes car.
I could have used something like SSR3 but I didn't want to go that aggressive because it's a commuter car and it will have more imperfections in the future and I want to save as much clear as possible. I also wanted to show that a couple of passes of SSR2.5, with the right pad, can remove deeper imperfections. This combo removed about 95% of the etching.
Method:
SSR 2.5 w/Edge light cut orange pad - speed 6
One pass with the above removed most of the etching but not all
Next - SSR 2.5 w/Edge yellow medium cut pad - speed 6
This remove about 95% of the etching (only can see some pitting very close up)
Follow up with a finishing polish
