Can someone tell me what the APC smells like? I'm a sucker for good-smelling detailing supplies. :)

I don't think Steve added any scent to it. Smells like a cleaner, I guess. :p

It's been about a week since I've used it. I can tell you that it doesn't smell like any of the Natty's products...LOL It does work great.

What is the recommended maximum concentration on tires and wheels?

After a Spray & Rinse ( and rinse ) application on the wheels, I used APC mixed 15:1 with a gong brush to clean the tires and the wheel wells with great results.
- I use a foam applicator to apply Natural Look on the tires, then wipe them dry with a Torx wipe after I get all 4 applied. I don't pile product on the tires, so they are not very gunked up come wash time. Wheel wells see the normal road stuff in them ( tar snakes picked up, and dirt / film ). Just to give you a point of reference.

I have not needed to go stronger than 10:1 with PB APC yet.
When I got my 1st bottle, I did use some old smooth plastic and put APC on straight and let it dwell for ~ 10 min, then wipe it off to see what would happen. Etched and streaked the snot out of it. I got a quick respect for how strong the stuff is right out of the bottle.

I seem to recall Steve saying the APC sample is premixed at 12:1 ( think that was it ), so anywhere 15:1 to 12:1 I think would be a good starting point.

yes, 15:1 is a good starting point and most will never need it stronger ;) as soon as it is sprayed on, you can see the APC go to work!

Steve,
Is this APC safe on tinted windows, when used as a glass cleaner?

I'm not the Steve you are asking, but I use Spray & Wipe as glass cleaner.
- I don't think I would try APC as a glass cleaner. APC should be rinsed after application ( should not be left to dry on surfaces ).

I just happened to use PB's Leather Stuff today and the label on Leather Stuff suggests using APC 6:1 on heavily soiled surfaces.

APC has been used from full strength on leather but it is usually not needed. I originally thought 6:1 was a good ratio, but now we usually recommend it 15:1 for most applications ... Pockets has been redesigning all the labels over the last year, some bottles already have bar codes too for our customers with stores, and the recommended ratio will be 15:1.

As far as for tinted glass, I have not really used APC on the interior glass, like scully I use either Spray and Wipe or Spray & Gloss

100:1 for cleaning glass is what I have used before I was scared at first about doing the tinted side so I tested it on my rear window that needs to be retinted anyway due to my boys flipping off the seatbelt and hitting the window. Anyway long story short it didn't hurt anything nor did it fade my tint. With that being said your results may not be the same as mine so I can not be held responsible because window tint durability varies. A safe bet would be to use S&W or S&G they both work great on windows.

I wanted to add a testimonial to this thread. I love PB's APC and whenever I get friends interested in car car I usually give them a spray bottle pre-mixed and some more to refill and dilute as needed. Recently my friends were doing a RAGNAR road race and had painted the van with a type of window paint that was supposed to just wash off. Well after two days of driving in the sun the stuff was on there good and nothing they tried would remove it. As a last ditch effort they tried the APC I gave them and it removed the baked on window paint with little effort. Thanks Guys!

Thanks ... it's also awesome with glue residue ( helped my daughter build a balsa bridge :smt100 and my fingers were glued together and glue was all over a glass table)
