Trim Restorer

I'm having trouble getting the trim on my truck to shine when i use Trim Restorer. The method I use when I apply trim restorer is to clean the area with simple green APC and once it’s fully dry I apply trim restorer with a foam applicator. I let it set for a few minutes and when I come back to buff it the trim is ashy again. It looks as if I never applied the product. Am I doing something wrong? I’ve even tried cleaning the trim again hoping this might help but still nothing. Today I even reapplied trim restorer a couple of times. The trim is on an 01 Dodge Ram.

What part of the trim are you working on and is it smooth or textured?

it is textured. Could it be that the trim is soaking up the product?

It's possible ..how are you applying it? try a foam paint brush and let it sit for an hour before buffing with a cotton towel not a microfiber

I'm using a foam applicator. I'll pick up some foam brushes and give them a a try
