Hi,
I am from Portugal and I own a silver metallic Audi A4 dated 2002. I am a big fan of poorboys products. I regularly use nattys white, PB natural look, PB polish with carnauba, PB leather stuff and PB Spray & Wipe. Now I intend to buy a swirl remover and I really do not know which one to buy. SSR2 or SSR2.5??
My polishing is done with an OEM machine similar to Bosch PEX 420 AE (http://www.idealo.co.uk/compare/91280/b ... 20-ae.html). This is not a PC but as I am not a Pro, I think it handles my needs :D I use polishing pads from Lake Country CCS 6.5" (orange- light cutting, White- polishing and blue -final) .. I hear that VAG clearcots are very hard to work, so I am a bit confused on what SSR to buy. What are the big differences between them?? Which one do you recommend?
Will I use SSR with orange pad or white pad? After SSR use, do I have to use PB polish with carnauba to smooth things out?
Thanks.

I think it depends on how bad the marring is. I've used SSR2 with a light polishing pad and removed my winter marring. This combo would not even tickle some of the marring I've worked on (ie-people that use the spinning brush wash and don't polish/wax their car ever. :? ).
SSR2 is more mild. 2.5 is stronger (obviously ;) ). With your combos, you'd probably get better results with the 2.5. As to which pad, again, it would depend on how bad the marring is, as well as how hard to polish your paint is. Try the least aggressive first, then move up if needed.

What is weird with the PB products is that they work great on Audi and BMW, even if they are known as "hard to work". I used SSR1 on Audi A4 2001, 2004 and 2007. Every singel swirlmark on the car was gone with very little work, as i know that i have before, when using other brands, had to use heavy duty compoung for these cars.

So i would use SSR1 if i have rotary machine and SSR2 (maybe SSR2.5) if i used DA machine.

Now, this post may be old but i just had to answer :)
