last weekend i worked on a 95 dark green metallic ford taurus. i purchased some of the scratch x just to see how it worked. the car had medium amount of swirl marks on it. i did the hood first; i applied 3 coats of the scratch x and i would estimate that it removed 50% of the swirl marks, using a mf applicator, (i am doing this by hand) my question is would the ssr 2.5 do a better job removing the swirls marks, (maybe take out the remaining ones) than the scratch x. or another possibility, is using ssr 3.0. any advice would be appreciated.

to start with, removing swirls by hand is very hard and a lot of work.
I would use SSR2 by hand but if you feel like doing some rubbing, then SSR2.5 in small areas at a time will remove the swirls. Without actually seeing and working on the car myself, I could not posibly tell you how long or hard it would be.
