I have been having problems with the ssr1 with white pad adding scratches back to the paint, WHY????????? I have decided to use the blue pad with pro-polish but just want to know why in case I decide to try it again one day.

Sound like you are not breaking the product down enough... it should be used at a high speed (5+ with a pc) or medium speed with a rotary.

What brand of Pad? Not all whites are polishing pads.

He probably means if he using a QD as a pad conditioner to prevent marring when using initially. Once the pad is primed with polish, you do not need to use QD.

You can just this when the pad new fresh and not primed with polish yet. Some polishes work better with a conditioner some do not.

The usual tips are:
1. work the polish long enough
2. if it does not seem to breakdown soon you are using too much polish (use less) or the pad has too much dried polish (clean the pads of excess after a few panels if it tends to dust or dry out).
