Spray & Wipe and Spray & Gloss

I am still relatively new to serious detailing, but have found PB products to be my favorite. I recently ordered S&W, S&G and Natural Look and really like them all.
My question is, can they be diluted at all with distilled water? I just can't seem to get a consistent spray, and have buff quite a bit to remove streaks. Thanks in advance!

Hi and Welcome to our forum. Chances are you are using too much product if you have to buff quite a bit. With our products, less is better :) If you get a 2oz. spray bottle and fill it with either Spray and Wipe or Spray & Gloss, that is all that is needed to clean a full size car when used correctly. A small mist per panel is all that is needed. If you over use it and your towel begins to get damp, then take the damp towel and clean your windows. This will help remove excess liquids and stretch the products further. Your towels should be absorbant and mostly dry through the whole process. For Natural Look, spray some on an applicator or sponge and spread evenly, leave it on your seat, dash, arm rests etc. for a few minutes and then use a cotton towel and buff it out.

To fully answer your question, yes they are dilutable with water, but I would experiment a little before diluting too much

Thank you for the reply. You're right, I probably was using too much at one time, the MF got wet pretty fast. I will try using less and adding just a bit of water to thin it out. The problem could also be the sprayer I'm using.

It's very common among new users to use too much product, my buddy Natty used a whole 16oz bottle his first time and didn't even finish his car, now he uses a few ounces

I did a quick wipe down with S&W, then went over it with a much lighter misting of S&G and it came out perfect. Super clean, and very deep and glossy. S&G works great on the windows too, I don't think I've seen them so clear and shiny! Thanks for the help.

When it comes to S&W, I assumed you would need more than a mist per panel just to get adequate lubrication to prevent paint marring when wiping dirt off your car.

I just got my 32 oz bottle of S&W today as a matter of fact? My first use of a PB product. Looking forward to giving it a try when I get home. I know with some products, it is recommended to only use that when the temperature is above 40 degrees. That is not true for S&W correct?

actually you don't need much more than a mist or two per panel ... remember not to rub, but to wipe with the weight of the towel.
I've used it below 40* but it will take more time and towels.

The amount you need is dependant upon how dirty the car is. Dirtier=more S+W. Light dusting might need only a misting. (as mentioned earlier, if you use too much, you will need to buff/dry longer).

S+W is water based. Water freezes @32ºF. I've found that the colder the temps, the less quickly S+W dries, so the more buffing you need to do. The key to using S+W in cooler temps is to ensure the paint isn't too cold. This is one case where it is better to work on a car that's been in the sun a while. If the paint is too cold (ie-it's below freezing out) then the S+W will freeze on the paint. If it's above freezing (such as 40ºF) you can use S+W, but it may not work as flawlessly as if it were used in 60ºF weather.

I am a NEW Detailer and PB buyer\user and I just bought alot of your products and maybe I bought the wrong one for what I mainly wanted it for, please advise. I bought your Spray & Gloss to mainly wipe around my door jambs - general clean up. Then I found these forums and read more about Spray & Wash - and that is probably what I should have bought????

Spray and Wipe is the cleaning product. Spray and Gloss is the gloss enhancer. You would be better off with S+W, IMO.
