Hi,

Today was my first detail: It was a Mercedes-Benz C220 black 220,000km 1996.

Tool:
1 White polishing pad
1 Yellow cutting pad
Makita 9227c
SSR1/2/2.5/3

Result are not really great.. So I guess my combo SSR/Speed/pad is very wrong. Can someone help me out with a ''bottomline guide'' 8)

Thank very much!!!

there is no specific guide as each finish and paint is different ..

i would first stay away from the yellow pad as it can leave marring of your own unless you are removing wet sanding marks or doing a vehicle on its last legs... I would only use SSR3 with a white polishing pad or finishing pad ... use SSR2.5 with either an orange light cutting pad or white polishing pad ... use SSR1 with a finishing pad ... speed should be 5+ when working any of the SSR's with a PC and about 1200-1500+ when using a rotary ...work the product no matter which pad or machine until the product is practically gone and the shine is popping through after each pass...
