For the Polish with Sealant, I'm assuming just one application is all you should be doing since it's polishing and sealing. Is this correct?

When applying, do the same polishing "break down" process apply?

Any tips on applying it?

TIA

PwS is a pad dependent product..if you use it to remove swirls or defects with a wool or cutting pad, then you can go over it again with a finishing pad at a slower speed to have it work like a sealant :)

Forgive me but I'm a noob... I'm using the pads I bought from you guys called the Super Smooth and Soft Microfiber/Sponge Applicators. I then wiped off with a MF DMT. I've noticed a lot of marring on the hood. after I was done. Is this the wrong combo?

If you are using the Microfiber applicators, they are only for applying like a wax, no rubbing. they should also be slightly dampened with a little water or qd before applying the PwS ...hope this helps :)

Can you apply it by hand? If so what kind of applicator should I use?

Cheers

if you are just spreading it for protection, then the microfiber applicators you have are fine...if you are trying to polish, then use a fairly soft cotton cloth and work it into the paint, then buff it off with a microfiber towel

Ok, so if I use the PwS with a fairly soft cotton towel and buff with an MF, will this take out the marring I created? Or should I use a diiferent product and invest in a PC? I would prefer to do this by hand if at all possible. Thank you very much for your replies.

without being there and seeing it in person, it's hard to say, but yes you can go that route by hand, but I'd seriously consider at pc or the new UDM :)
