Professional Polish

I am aware that professional polish is used as a finishing polish and would hope to start to use this (once my recently ordered DA polisher arrives), as my car has a few light swirls developing.

I am unsure as to whether it would be safe to use this product on a regular basis (i.e. every 3 months or so), given that my car (a Mitsubishi, which has not been machine corrected or re-sprayed since it was bought from new a few months ago) apparently has soft paint in line with most Japanese cars.

I don't have access to a paint depth gauge so can't comment on what thickness of paint the car has.

Any advice would be appreciated. :)

Pro Polish is a non-abrasive polish and is pad dependent ... by using either a polishing or finishing pad , probably a finishing pad for softer paints, you can use it as often as needed.

PP is considered a chemical polish, not an abrasive polish. You might need to be more concerned with what pad you use wearing out your paint before PP would.

Also, if you have good washing technique, you shouldn't need to do much polishing, so once you've gotten the paint corrected, concentrate on proper wash technique.

Thanks for the replys guys, they've been most helpful. :)

It's good to her that prop polish won't cause a problem; I guess I'll mainly use it to remove previous layers of BH and lsp every few months prior to applying some more.
