Nattys Blue

I have no idea what is going on, as this has happened to me twice. After I have let My sealant cure for at least 24 hours i apply nattys blue over the whole vehicle with a damp red lake country pad with enough, but not too little product to get thin layers. I wait til I can remove it using the finger test. I then remove from the entire vehicle with microfiber to where it appears to me to be off the vehicle. No matter what, only happens with the nattys. There is always some left behind. In the sun you can see what looks to be swirls but if you whipe them they move with microfiber. On the hood, will be completely gone, if it sits in the sun for a little while it will look like i just waxed it again and can whipe the swirls - the straight line swirls from the product being put on by the PC. this is not my first rodeo as i have used many other products before, but it is becoming frustrating as hell as it feels like its messing all the hardwork i put into it before i got to the nattys stage. To sum it up after i take it off you can put it in the sun, move around so the light hits it from all angles and everything looks perfect, give it a bit in the sun whether its the same day or not and it will look like someone waxed their car and didnt get everything off and can see where their machine or hand went. What is going on!??

I'm not sure either why you are having this reaction .... it may be a reaction to the sealant that you are using and it doesn't want to bond ...
you might try the "spit shine" method of application ... using a chilled Spray & Gloss before application and then spreading and wiping off immediately ... since the sealant is giving the protection, the wax is only there to enhance the glow of the finish ..

I'm using all Poorboys products. After polishing I went to Black Hole, then to Sealant with Carnuba, and then the Natty's Blue with the glaze and the sealant having at least 24 hours cure time between coats. I've been using nothing but Poorboys products for about a year now and love them. All except this problem that I cant figure out. What would be your suggestion as of now. Polish to get everything off and then start over or should I go to the clay?

ok I think I got it now ... you needed to put the Black Hole after EX not before ...then the Natty's Blue ....

So thats it huh? I would have thought the Sealant would go on after the Blackhole to seal it in. Do you have any recommended combos of products to use on blue vehicles. What do you typically use/coats/methods for your own vehicles?

it would be the same for a blue vehicle ... I typically go with either polish w/ Sealant or Pro Polish then Black Hole and then lots of coats of Natty's Red or Blue :smt003

Ok so... as long as I don't put the black hole on underneath the sealant, which in turn would go underneath the Nattys I'll be alright? Also, is there any advantage to using the PP and then a sealant rather than a polish with sealant?

Also - how long do YOU wait before additional coats and or a different product and what is your typical way of application besides a machine etc. for example, any little tips and or advice for your products. :smt003

well you can use Black Hole under most sealants, but in your case I think that is where the problem was. I don't know if there were other factors involved as there could be many variables of heat, moisture , even time of day ...
I usually apply wax by hand even though I have been tempted to try using a 3.5" backing plate with one of my microfiber applicator pads ..saw this done at my detailing weekend and was quite impressed with the results ...Spit shining has also become a favorite as it makes the flash time of the wax much quicker. (using chilled S&G)
