Hello fellow car protection enthusiasts.
I have recently got into the whole 'take care of your car' thing and have been using an assortment of Mothers + Meguiars products to do this. I have heard the name Poorboys been dropped a few times and given that the pricing of Poorboys products aren't significantly more expensive than the Mothers + Meguiars products; I thought I might give them a go. There is a distributor for Poorboys products here in Australia (waxit.com.au) so I shouldn't have an issue getting access to the products.
At this stage, I usually wash my car at least once a week (2 bucket method) and have been waxing my car using a liquid wax at least once a fortnight (largely because I have been bored). All products are applied and removed by hand. Biggest issue is that I don't exactly know what Poorboys product I should be using to replace my existing routine. Below is a list of the products I currently use:
Wash: Super Slick & Suds
Wash mitt: Meguiars microfibre wash mitt
Drying towel: Viking waffle weave microfibre drying towel
Clay: Poorboy's Elastic Clay with Spray and Wipe as lubricant
Sealant: EX-P
Wax:Natty's Blue , Natty's Red, or Liquid Natty's Blue
Wheels: Spray & Rinse
Tyres: Bold N Bright
Spray Detailer: Spray & Gloss or QD+
Dash/Interior:Leather Stuff
Black Trim/plastics: Trim Restorer
Windows: Spray & Gloss , Spray and Wipe, or QD+
Applicator: Meguiars foam applicator
Buffing/polishing cloth: Meguiars Supreme Shine microfibre towels
Which Poorboys products should I be subbing into my cleaning regime? With regards to the wax, I don't mind having a go at using the paste wax if it will provide significantly better results over a liquid version. Also, the car is always parked outside; if that influences product choice at all.
Below are some shots of my car. The last 2 are after my most recent clay/seal/wax job done 1 week ago.
