so after i

wash
clay
polish (will use a cleaner/polish so i can skip a step, its a new car)

ive been eyeballing the EX Sealant as a LSP since if i read correctly its a sealant with carnauba. when i think of "sealants" i think of the synthetic LSP's is that was the EX is with a little nuba added? im a noob go easy if im not right

if i go with the EX would i really need to put anything on after it? im not going for show car looks i just want it to look good with great protection since its an everyday driver (2 month old mazda3..silver)

You pretty much have it right.

You don't need to add anything after it. Some people like the look of EX by itself, some like mixing things up by topping with other products, and some can't leave well enough alone and have to add something after every wash. ;)

only thing i would use on top of EX would be either the new QD+ to add a little more protection after each wash, or Spray and Gloss for a more shiny finish, but no extra protection :)

then i'd probably add a new layer of EX every month or so if its your daily and depending on bad the weather is :)

i should get a couple months out of since its a sealant right? thats why i wanted to use EX instead of just carnauba

Depends on many factors - where you live, type of soap you use, garaged or not, etc.
Some people have claimed a coat of sealant (EX or EX-P) has lasted them through the winter.
It's pretty much impossible to give a guarantee of how long a coat will last each and every time for everyone.

Yes it should, but as bigleegr has mentioned in the above post, it depends on the weather conditions and a few other factors- if its been raining alot i would be more inclined to go with 1 coat a month - rather be safe and ensure protection than risk destroying your good work with water marks and contaminants etching themselves into the paint - and since its your daily driver, it'd be more prone to wearing down your protection quicker :)

I would say you should get at least 3-6 months, but again as it has been said before there are always variables
