Correct Products & Application

I have just purchased a 09 Silverado Crew Cab Pickup that is Deep Ruby Metallic in color. Basically a dark red or burgundy color. I was given at Christmas as a gift knowing I was going to purchase a truck the following four PB products.
Super Slick & Suds
Bug Squash - BS
Polish with Sealant - PwS
EX-P
I am okay with the Super Slick and BS on general washing. Is the EX-P the only thing I need to use on the new paint job? I have read on the forum to apply two coats one right after the other and third 1-3 days later. I am okay with that. Do I need to use something else such as Natty's or black hole in addition to the EX-P?
The gift was from my father who uses his EX-P only on his two year old Dark Blue Suburban since he had it new. He tells me he also bought me the PwS to use before the EX-P on my wifes Dark Red 03 Montana mini van to help with swirls and minor scrathes before using the EX-P on her's.
Are these the correct applications for both the Silverado and Minivan?
What else would you recomend to give a deeper shine or better finish?
Thanks,
Jack

If you have no marring, then you can go straight to EX-P. PwS may help get rid of some minor contaminants, but you can use EX-P alone.

Some people like to top a sealant with a wax to give a different look than just a sealant would give. Same with using a glaze. Not needed, but you may like the look better. Personal preference.

It's the correct order for what you have.

Too many variables. Are you doing this by hand or machine? How much are you willing to spend (time and money). How bad is your wife's minivan?

Thanks for the help Big Leegr!

Wife's minivan is in real good shape, very minor scrathes in clear coat only. I will try the Pws and apply the EX-P and see how it turns out.

For the new Silverado I was looking for any additional products for that extra pop. It would be applied by hand. However, if needed I could purchase a machine to use something to achieve the extra pop. I just want to start out right since it is a new finish. I don't want to spend a ton of money or time to get a little extra, however, if a machine and two coats of say nattys applied the same day is a drastic change I can live with that.
Thanks for the help!

For "extra pop" you may want to look at getting a detail spray such as Spray and Gloss or QD+. You'd use them after a wash to help clear up any fresh water marks as well as adding some "pop" or gloss so as to maintain a "freshly waxed" look long after you've applied your original wax job.

Big Leegr,
Any advantage or disadvantage between the QD+ and Spary and Gloss? I have looked at both and both seem to spray and wipe on. What is the real difference?
Thanks

QD+ had wax and creates a deep warm glow, Spray & Gloss creates a bright and shiny finish

I have purchased the QD+ and am using it after washes. Already did the three coats of EX-P mentioned above on the truck. I also purchased some Wheel Sealant. I have read some posts on proper application and coats. I have 18" chrome rims and would like to use the WS properly. I think some post say to clean the wheels and use PWS first than apply WS? Is this correct? Also a post says you can apply 2-3 coats of WS for maximum protection. A post also says to do all four wheels and than take off in the same order as put on. Should I take off before each re-coat or apply right on top, as on does with the first two coats of EX-P? Thanks for your help.

yes you need to remove the first layer of EX-P or Wheel sealant before appyling a second ... PwS before is ok on the wheels, but Professional Polish would be better.

Okay on the wheel sealant. Thanks. One questions I know I saw and can't find, when applying EX-P. First coat put on, second coat right on top with not taking off first coat, then wait 24-72 hours to put third coat on. Do you take off the first coat before immediately doing the second coat for coverage? Thanks,

it's always best to wait 24-72 hours for a sealant to cure
