It's a paint protector called C Quartz. Suppose to last about 2 years. A high end detailer offers this service. I was just messing around on the computer when I came across this product.

I've heard of it ( and others like it) but never used it. Sounds like you better have your prep done very thoroughly before applying it, though.

Once you put it on , the only way to get it off is to buff it with compound.

That's only if it hasn't fully cured, or cured too quick with ambient environment. If these variables do happen it will needed to be buffed off, coatings are best for a climate controlled shop or area.
