Advice on polish and sealant

I am new to all of this and could use some suggestions on what I could use on my truck. Its a 2004 Silverado with a dark charcoal metallic paint. I thought I read somewhere that a sealant would be a good way to go as it brings out the metallic finish well.

My paint is a little rough. I picked up this truck used and it doesn't look like its original owner did much to keep the finish up. Its got lite scratches on just about every panel. I would love to try out a DA polisher but I have a torn rotator cuff and can't handle a buffer right now. I get operated on soon but it will be a couple months before I'm able to try out buffing the paint. In the meantime I'd like to do what I can to clean up my paint and get some wax on it.

I was thinking of using using PwS for now. And using QD+ in between to maintain the sealant. How does that sound?

PwS will still need to be worked in to be effective on the light scratches. Without a machine, you'll be even harder on your rotator cuff.

I'd say go with a glaze like Black Hole to hide the scratches for now and top it with a wax or pure sealant. Then you can use QD+ or QW+ in between.

Thanks! Black Hole sounds pretty good. If I can just hide the scratches/swirls for awhile and get some wax on this truck I'll be happy.

Can you tell me what the difference is between QD+ and QW+? Is one a detailer and the other a detailer with a little wax in it?

QW+ is a spray wax. It cleans similar to a pre-wax cleaner, not a wash/shampoo type clean. Car must be clean first.
QD+ is a detail spray that cleans finger prints etc. and leaves behind some shine enhancement as well as some protection. (Still not a waterless wash, though.)
