I'm trying new things all the time, I'm a huge advocate of Poorboy's World products, so much so I've started a small distribution sideline to aid in my quest for 'reflection prefection'.
I have used other products not in the Poorboy's range, so I've omitted brand and names out for obvious reasons. This test was conducted at the start of October 2011, the automobile in question is a 2005 Ford Mondeo ST220, used as a daily drive doing approximately 1000 miles per month on mud covered and (due to the UK winter) salted roads.
So the low down on what was done.
Quick pre-wash with some foam.
Washed with Super Slick and Suds using a Microfibre Mitt and the Double Bucket method.
Clayed
2nd wash (as above)
Dry using a Poorboy's Waffle Weave.
DA'd using SSR2 & SSR1 followed by PP.
DA'd some BH
DA'd EX leaving 1 hours cure time.
Applied wax and cured for 1 hour before removal.
24 hours later...........added another coat of wax.
Loving the Hydrophobic effect
Close up of how it looked after waxing.
This next photo is how things are holding up a month later, only thing done to the automobile is it's weekly wash with PB's Super Slick and Suds.
2 months on, at be it after some major rain.
3 months on..........
So after 3 months it's still holding out, however the hydrophobic effect is dropping off so when the UK weather allows I'll strip it down and start again.
The wax used for this test was from a UK company, however I did a similar test using Natty's Blue for the show season in the UK. As a comparison I have another rain shot (we love the Hydrophobic effects in the rainy UK).
Think this is 2 months in from the start of my Natty's test.
When it's not rainy, I get reflection.....
This last photo is right at the end of the test in August 2011 at the historic racing circuit Silverstone.
Thanks for reading / looking and commenting.
