Hi. I have a few questions. I "attempted" to use the ssr1 this weekend with no luck, so i tryed the 2.5. still have scratches...seems worse than when i started....lots of micro maring...tiny swirls. i worked the product slowly on speed 6 with the PC. Did i over work it...underwork it...did i use the wrong pad? I used the orange LC pad with the 2.5 then tryed the ssr1 with white LC pad. I tryed a section several times with no luck. I'm ready to pull my hair out. any help would be great. I want to get this done right.

Some more info on the type of vehicle and color would be very helpful. But I'll take a dive in the dark and say a Black Mustang GT???

It sounds like you have the basics down. Did you notice the micromarring on the whole vehicle or on just the last few panels you did? Your pad could have gotten caked with product and would need to either be brushed off or wiped off. I like to take a clean terry cloth towel and wipe the pad off to remove any excess product after 2-3 panels. This way the pad will still be primed yet not caked w/ extra polish that'll make it less effective or cause dusting.

Speed 6, a light cut pad, a little bit of pressure and slow overlapping passes is what you should be doing (and it seems like you are). Apply a thin bead of product around the center of the pad. Spread the polish and the work it in until it goes clear, remember that this may take a few minutes. Lighten up your pressure when you are about to remove the polish.
