Are these different than the backing plate that comes with the machine?

I think they are the same, but as we have heard, with enough use they do lose the grip

Shame that the stuff you get in the US seems a great price, ship them to the UK and we have to pay over $500 for the same product,

Same thing applies across the whole range of detailing products, not only can't we get our hands on most of them over here, but when we can the product that is $320 ends up as £340 ($520).

shipping can be a killer from the US, but they are made in Germany and they must have a better deal somewhere in Europe. :smt017
