So I read some stuff, got a product from PBW recommended to me (EX with Carnuba), read some more stuff, won another product (Pro Polish). Steve was good enough to send that out with a micro fiber cloth (much appreciated). Last weekend I did the work but didn't get around to taking the pic's till this weekend so the shine ain't quite fresh and to be honest the pic's were like test shots for something else but they're the only ones I got and I thought I'd post them cause forums and pic's go good together.

The '08 Malibu got a wash, clay bar, Pro Polish and EX w/Carnuba.

The '00 fofo didn't quite make it to the sealant w/wax so I'll redo the whole
thing as time allows but it still looks pretty sharp for an older car.

I need to sort of read up and stock up on micro fiber cloths, applicators, black trim treatments and maybe a power tool for doing all this with. I'm glad I found these products and this forum ... especially since I won free stuff. Yes ... I'm like that. :smt041

Looks good! I would also recommend White Diamond. Use it after the Pro polish and before the EX. It will add some depth to the white and will also hide some imperfections :).

Thanks, guys. It's a little late for the White Diamond. Now that I have the EX with Carnuba on both vehicles I'm not sure what is suppose to happen next ... just more EX w/Carnuba every so often??? :smt017

One thing I do need advice on is what to do about the places where the wax got onto black plastic trim. I'm sure there is a procedure/product for that but I haven't done my homework on the matter. Would somebody please just give me the answer? :smt100

Either APC and a toothbrush or Trim Restorer should work. (Or APC followed by TR, even!)

Exactly .. and to prevent it in the future, either tape the trim before polishing, use Trim Restorer before polishing, or keep a wet rag and wipe any residue before it dries, while polishing.
